Will Sunday be as Wild?

If yesterday’s games were any indication of what is to come, we are in for a wild ride today. I had a feeling that the “stinker” between the Saints and Seahawks would end up being the Game of the Week, but I don’t think anyone could have predicted the 77 points that were scored. Sure, . . . → Read More: Will Sunday be as Wild?

Harbaugh Finally Settles on a New Home

Harbaugh Finally Settles on a New Home

Jim Harbaugh after a whirlwind couple of days has decided to coach the San Francisco 49ers.  Rumors were rampant last night about imminent signings with the Dolphins, returns to Stanford, and even Denver attempting to get an interview.  But Harbaugh decided to go with the team he interviewed . . . → Read More: Harbaugh Finally Settles on a New Home

Raiders Make the Change

My first prediction as a Blogger has been proven incorrect.  The Oakland Raiders have not exercised the contract extension of Coach Tom Cable.  Reports from the San Francisco Chronicle say that Offensive Coordinator Hue Jackson will take over.

Honestly this is the only move that makes sense to provide any kind of… CONTINUITY!

My takes . . . → Read More: Raiders Make the Change

2010 Raider Off Season

2010 Raiders Off Season

With the Raiders finishing off the 2010 at 8-8 with an absolute drubbing of the Kansas City Chiefs, we are left with a whole new series of questions. I’ll do my best to answer them, right now.

Q: What will the coaching situation be in 2010? A: The same as it is . . . → Read More: 2010 Raider Off Season

Just because you don’t agree with me, doesn’t make me any less right.

I’ve only been blogging again for a couple of weeks, and already I’ve invited a guest to contribute. I’d like to think that this is not a sign of my laziness, but rather a willingness for me to open my mind and consider the opinions of others…but no one in their right mind believes that, . . . → Read More: Just because you don’t agree with me, doesn’t make me any less right.

Quick Bay Area Sports Hits

More Quick Hits from Around the Bay Area:

1.  Oakland Raiders suffered a disappointing loss to the Colts Sunday, but it didn’t effect the playoff race, as the Chiefs blew out the Titans to lock up the AFC West earlier in the day.  It was nice to see that the Raiders . . . → Read More: Quick Bay Area Sports Hits

Tuesday Night Football?!

Ok—so I wasn’t happy about being stuck in the house all day yesterday after the “impending  over-hyped blizzard of 2010” put a major damper on my plans to head into downtown Philly for a day of football watching and festive beer drinking—-but I was looking on the bright side and figured at least I could . . . → Read More: Tuesday Night Football?!

9 Quick Hits

I have a couple of questions I’d like to raise here at the end of 2010 and looking forward to 2011.

1.  I don’t think that comparing the UCLA men’s NCAA winning streak and the UCONN women’sNCAA winning streak is fair to either school.  Bothof these records stand alone as tremendous accomplishments, pitting them against each . . . → Read More: 9 Quick Hits

Turnaround in Oakland

Turnaround in Oakland

The 2009 Raiders finished the regular season with a 5-11 record good for 3rd place in the AFC West. Even worse they managed to score only 12.3 points a game better only than the Saint Louis Rams who scored 10.9. Needless to say the offense was bad. The Raiders defense gave up . . . → Read More: Turnaround in Oakland

Dogkillers, sex addicts, ego-maniacs…the sports heroes of 2010.

My daughter Addyson, an Eagles fan but not a fan of Michael Vick.

Wow. It’s been almost a year since my last post. Really?! They say time starts to move faster the older you get, and as much as I hate to admit it, I’m starting to realize that whoever “they” . . . → Read More: Dogkillers, sex addicts, ego-maniacs…the sports heroes of 2010.
